Best Places in Graz: Orpheum, “Swan Lake” Ballet Experience
Dear Alice,
Today I would like to talk to you about one of my weekend’s experiences, and that is attending the “Swan Lake” Ballet at the Orpheum Graz music hall. I am pretty sure that like me you must be very enthusiastic when the weekend is approaching.
Even after a great week at school, work, business trip, etc., the weekend is that part of the week that we are all looking forward to! And there is nothing better as preparing for the weekend than a great Friday evening spent with your friends, at the opera house, at a concert hall, at a good restaurant, or at the music hall watching the well-known ballet performance “Swan Lake”.
So this is how the wonderful “Swan Lake” Ballet experience felt like…
- Friday Afternoon: Preparing for attending the “Swan Lake” Ballet performance.
Ahh “Swan Lake” Ballet…I am so excited about seeing this performance! Ballet, this wonderful choreographic dance that hides so much passion and expression! I am so happy to see the classical “Swan Lake” ballet performance, to enjoy the vibrating music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, which revives my senses and my emotions. I am ready to savor a wonderful world of fairy tales, to let myself guided in a world of imagination and adventure!
- Friday Late Afternoon: Arriving at the Orpheum Graz concert hall.
Orpheum Graz concert hall..Never been here before, but while approaching the traditional building, I have a strange feeling that this is a great place to attend classical concerts. Even though the space does not seem extremely large, the building gives me a common sense of familiarity.
I am now entering the concert hall and the inside is just as lovely as I expected. Small, cozy, and welcoming: with small areas for tickets, lounges and bars, the building offers exactly what every attendee to a concert expects: normal comfort and taste, and not an overwhelming uncomfortable opulent space.
- Friday Evening: Enjoying the one and only “Swan Lake” performance.
Finished reading the “Swan Lake” Ballet official program. 4 Acts, full of fantasy, drama, deceiving, war, comedy, love, and courage in which we learn that “love does conquer it all”!
Now that I refreshed my memories and I recalled the “Swan Lake” story, I am prepared to enjoy the performance and the happy ending! During the sensitive performance I am mesmerized by the fantastic and synchronous dance, by the waterfall of emotions, and nonetheless by the power of music! My mind is enjoying every little piece of this performance.
I hope you are still with me and that my story determine you to be interested in this emotional experience! At the end of the performance, I must say that I felt really prepared for the weekend that was about to come! And I was also pleasantly impressed by the mixture of people in the audience: young couples, and teenagers, enjoying the dance of the evening along with elder people and couples. And I will not forget the multitude of little girls in the audience, which may have found that very evening their great passion in life.
Yes “Swan Lake” is indeed one of the greatest ballet pieces of our times!
Sincerely yours,
madalina
